Drifters is a networked multiplayer deathmatch game developed by a team of 26 students over 7 months. I served as lead programmer on Drifters.
Gameplay
Drifters takes place in a crowded museum. Each player takes the role of a “Drifter,” an ethereal being who can possess any human host at will. The object of the game is to blend in with the crowd, identify other player characters in the museum and kill them without giving yourself away. Players can mimick NPC behavior to blend in and “drift” between hosts to confuse opponents.
